Lessons learnt
- 3) Don't buy downlights at a lighting shop... they're way overpriced. And way too shiny. Go to an electrical wholesaler instead... like Middy's? We got ours for around $18 each including fitting, globe and transformer...
- 2) Don't leave masking tape on your windows for 3 months. If you do you'll need a heat gun and about 4 hours to remove it even from just one window.
- 1) Don't use enamel paint inside. Even if the man in the paint shop says to. It is gloopy and drippy and impossible to apply without streaking and it takes 24 hrs to dry between coats. Use water-based. Even on the skirting boards :)
